The Refugee DAO
RefugeeDAO is an initiative that empowers refugees to self-organize, govern and control their community resources. Our platform creates a transparent, accountable and democratic environment that fosters collaboration and collective decision-making. Through the RefugeeDAO, we aim to provide the necessary tools, resources, learning and networks to enable refugees to best integrate in their own and their host communities so they can reach their best lives. We believe that empowering refugees will not only benefit them, but also enrich the communities they join.
Technology helping refugees to be heard
Our platform helps refugees create a decentralised, unstoppable, transparent, censor-resistant, and secure environment for debating, deciding and delivering on their needs.
Our platform consists of a learning centre to empower refugees with the latest technology, a governance centre to optimise decision-making, and a sharing centre where they can connect with each other, share ideas, and collaborate on projects that are meaningful to them.
RefugeeDAO is an arm of Unting.us focusing on building communities among refugees. Uniting.us is a non-profit organisation focused on helping build and develop communities in need, allowing them to self-govern and thrive.
How does it work?
Discuss Ideas
Brainstorm, debate, and share ideas that will help Refugees to integrate into their new home, selecting the most important ones to transform into proposals.
Propose
Any member can create a proposal for a project, event, or initiative that they would like to see happen in their community.
Vote
Once a proposal has been discussed and refined, it is put up for a vote. Members can cast their votes using their digital IDs.
Learning to Empower
Our platform is based on the latest Web3 technology. Refugees will learn this technology while working on our platform and build more skills to open new career paths.
Share
We keep a library of proposals and votes. Moreover, you can learn from all other refugees and communities on our platform to improve their integration and success.
Work together
Govern together, and collaborate with other communities and refugees from all over the world on our platform!
